Instead of going to college, where he felt the universities did not offer what he needed to musically enhance himself, he found a technical school close to home that specialized in audio engineering. There he was exposed to studio recording a faster growing market for regular consumers. Now although Bug thought working in live sound would be his niche. Learning the ins and outs of studio work such as, running sessions, mixing, and dealing with artists. Studio life was something he was starting to fall in love with. He was good at it and it felt like there might be a future in it. But he needed to get into the industry meet people but how?
One Big Commercial
Finding a internship was a viable next step. Constantly handing out resumes to companies seemed like an endless journey until one hitched, J.S.M Music.
JSM was a jingle company that made music for commercials. One of their most famous ones was a commercial for Mount Airy Lodges. It was here that Bug learned the workings of a studio, how everyone played a role to make it run from engineers to writers to producers. He also learned the hierarchy of big business, and right now he was at the bottom. However, one thing that was different about Bug is how he treated people. He knew one thing, and that was no matter how much money people made, we all sleep and use the bathroom , therefore in some manner we are all on the same level.
