The Revolution will be televised

Some artists have lasting longevity like Mary J Blige and LL Cool J, others are just stuck as notions in time. It seems it is quite hard for several artists that were once popular be able to return with a successful comeback.

Take a dip into the lake of nostalgia, which artists would you like to see make a comeback and why? Which artists do you think would actually be welcome back in the game, and what do you feel they would need to do to be considered dope again? Which ones should never be seen again?

I hate to be all R&B and emotional and stuff. But If PM Dawn came back with and album I would grab up a copy. Just so I could sing on the way to work and the shower and stuff. No hOmo. I don't care what anyone thinks.

I would hate to see Tim Dogg or Cypress Hill come back. Unless it was a onetime feature on a song. But a whole album? Please.... I will pass on that.

Lauryn hill tops the list of people in need of a comeback. no doubt she would sell, but the bigger question is can she still make music that evokes emotion? would she still be as potent lyrically, sonically, everything as she was before. although i'd love a comeback...i'm skeptical of what the actual product would sound like. i mean, her block party appearance was enough for me to realize that just because you had it, doesn't mean you will always keep it.

cam'ron should stay gone. period.

Why is Hip-Hop the only genre with a retirement age? B-Real from Cypress Hill still does music. Same with Too $hort and other vets. I would buy a Ice-T album. Ice Cube's last two albums have been better than 80% of stuff coming out now. Jazz musicians still make music when their old. Rock n Roll have some of their biggest earners in their late 50's and 60's. I think it comes down to good music and a loyal fan base. Most Hip-hop heads are only as loyal as the last single.
